If you have a dancer interested in competing, we would love to consider them for a Competition Dance Team! We have worked with our staff to evaluate our studio goals and needs based on our 30+ years experience and have created what we feel will offer the most complete and diverse team options. We are dedicated to growth and innovation without straying from our strong tradition of excellence.

PERFORMANCE MINDSET
__________________________Pre-Team Troupe is offered for dancers ages 5-7 (by September 1, 2026) through audition only.

>> Required weekly time commitment of 1.75 hrs, 1 day a week
>> Training may include: Tap, Team, Tumbling & Technique

>> 1 Routine at 2 Spring Local Competitions, Team Showcase and Recital
>> Dancers are required to attend Winter Impact at the Farmington Studio in December

Pre-team is intended for dancers who have excelled in our Recreational program. These dancers have been a part of recreational classes, Artistic Sparks or Pre-Team for one or more years and have shown appropriate class etiquette, excellent attendance, at home practice, they are great listeners, and are ready for the extra commitment of being on a team. Both parent and dancer are ready to explore the world of competitive dance. Dancers enjoy being on a team, performing, skills and friendships gained.
__________________________Training may include tap, team, tumbling and technique. We recommend adding an additional recital, technique or tumbling class of your choice to supplement training.

They are wanting to develop as a dancer and are ready to step up to focus on competition and the demands it requires. Dancer has displayed desire for growth and parents have provided a positive support structure. They enjoy the competitive aspect and are willing to invest as needed to obtain personal and team goals. Teams are set for training and competitive achievement.

HIGH SCHOOL EXPERIENCE
__________________________Sr Elite Comp Troupe is offered for dancers Grades 9-12 for the 2025-2026 school year through audition only. Dancer’s on this team may also be on a High School Drill Team or Cheer Squad.

SR ELITE COMP TROUPE OVERVIEW:
>> Weekly time commitment of 3 hours/per week on Monday Nights or more hours/per week if dancer chooses to dance on Monday and 1-2 additional days
>> Dancer’s NOT on a high school drill team or cheer squad will be required to dance 3 days a week>> Dancers will train in Ballet, Jazz and Technique
>> 8 Days (if on a HS Drill Team), 12 days (if on cheer squad or NOT on a drill team) of Summer Impact required
>> Summer Ballet Impact Training required for dancers NOT on a drill team (not included in monthly ACH payment plan option)
>> Choreography begins in August
>> Dancers will perform in Art With Heart in November

Sr Elite is intended for advanced High School dancers who have prior team experience but may be involved in school extra-curricular teams. They have shown they have appropriate class etiquette, excellent attendance, at home practice, they are great artists, and are able to prioritize, communicate, and plan. Dancers are able to uphold weekly class attendance. They enjoy being on a studio team, performing, training, skills and friendships gained

As part of the Competitive Dance Program, dancers may choose to participate in extra training, performing and competing opportunities. Dancers may audition for multiple Troupes or one individual troupe depending on their wants and needs. Additional classes can be added to any team for a discounted cost when available. This troupe is intended as a secondary troupe for those who are also a part of a Competitive Troupe or as a Primary Troupe by INVITE only
__________________________COMPETITIVE HIP-HOP TROUPE OVERVIEW:
>> Weekly commitment of 1 total hour (in addition to dancer’s other required weekly troupe hours)
>> Tuition and Program Fees will vary depending on each dancer’s Primary Troupe and how many Troupes they are adding to their training. Tuition is discounted based on the total hours a dancer is training each week.
>> Program fees do not include choreography

Competitive Hip Hop is intended for dancers who enjoy Hip Hop and enjoy the excitement and demands of the competition world. Dancer has displayed desire for growth and parents have provided a positive support structure needed for a successful competitive experience. We are looking for dancers who have participated in a team experience and know the expectations of at home practice and will put their team first.

Competitive Contemporary is intended for dancers who enjoy the movement quality and expression of Contemporary dance with the added excitement and demands of competition. Dancers looking to grow and excel technically and in performance ability should add this secondary troupe to their curriculum. We are looking for dancers who have participated in a prior team experience and both parent and dancer know the expectations of competition, the requirement of at home practice, and will do the work. Weekly training includes Contemporary/team and ballet.

“ADD-A-DANCE” ARTISTIC TROUPE:
>> Weekly commitment of 45-60 minutes/week rehearsal time per routine added

Does taking the stage to refine your performing skills excite and motivate you? Do you want to take advantage of every opportunity? This is your chance to “add a dance” so you can do more. This is not a training opportunity, just a performing opportunity for those wanting more opportunities and are willing to do the work.

By “adding a dance” you will be committing to learning choreography (either by video or in person), attend rehearsals (held on the weekend or evenings seasonally), and do at home practice to be prepared to take the stage.
