Dance Impressions has been fortunate to have been teaching students to dance for over 30 years and feel very lucky to be able connect through movement everyday. Through the years, we've celebrated multiple success stories with many dancers and are thrilled to call each and every one family.

Dance Impressions has four times been recognized nationally with the prestigious New York City Dance Alliance "National: Critics Choice Award." The same competition has also named solo dancers "National: Title Winners," at least three times and two more dancers have won the coveted "National: Outstanding Dancer." Teams have also been awarded national titles at West Coast Dance Explosion, Spotlight Dance Cup, Kids Artistic Revue, LA Dance Magic, and numerous other nationally recognized competitions. Locally, Dance Impressions teams are recognized with awards such as "Directors of the Year," "Sweepstakes Studio," "Best Sportsmanship" and the "Class Act." An award we always love to win for presenting dancers in a classy, age appropriate, family friendly and professional manner.
Dance Impressions is proud to have trained Sabra Johnson, winner of the 2007 Fox hit TV show, "So You Think You Can Dance" and Tade Biesinger, the star of "Billy Elliot" in both New York and London. Dance Impressions' dancers have also been featured in many movies including all three High School Musicals, American Mall and Dear Dumb Diary. Students have held lead rolls in the Ballet West Nutcracker, Odyssey Dance Theatre's Thriller and the 2002 Winter Olympic Ceremonies. Former students have also found success with Odyssey Dance, the Utah Jazz, Lagoon and numerous cruise lines. NYCDA National Teen Outstanding Dancer
Mattie Love began dancing at Dance Impressions as a very small girl. Progressing quickly
and winning multiple awards a many local comps along the way.
Mattie was named the New York City Dance Alliance (NYCDA), National Teen Outstanding Dancer, in 2010. As a recipient, she was invited to tour the US with NYCDA as an assistant. Additionally, Mattie was
awarded over $80,000 in
College Scholarships by the NYCDA College Scholarship Program.
Love attended and graduated Marymount Manhattan College in New York City on a dance scholarship and most recently performed with the Rockettes
in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular.

2007 Winner, So You
Think You Can Dance
Sabra Johnson began her formal dance training at age 16 with Dance Impressions in our Bountiful Studio under the direction of mother-daughter team Kandee Allen and Vivian Colobella. She then moved down to Las Vegas, NV, and trained at The Dance Zone under the direction of another Colobella daughter, Kaydee Francis and partner Jami Artiga. Johnson’s dance training consisted of jazz, ballet and contemporary, a strong background in gymnastics, some experience in hip hop, modern, tap, and theater. Her favorite style of dancing is contemporary. Prior to auditioning for So You Think You Can Dance (SYTYCD), Johnson was enjoying her fourth year of dancing. Johnson had a backup role on the hit film High School Musical as a skater in the scene: “Stick to The Status Quo.” After SYTYCD, Sabra Johnson performed with Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet; danced throughout Mexico and Europe; and is currently dancing in Vietnam professionally.
