Krissie Edwards is originally from Columbia, South Carolina where she trained at Southern Strutt under the direction of Nancy Giles. During her training she was fortunate enough to train with teachers and choreographers such as Ray Leeper, Liz Imperio, Mia Michaels, Doug Caldwell, Dee Caspary, and many others. After graduating high school, she continued her education at the University of South Carolina and Weber State, earning her degree in Criminal Law. While attending USC, she continued teaching at Southern Strutt. In 2002, she relocated to Salt Lake City and from 2004-2010 she was the Company Coordinator at The Winner School. She now guest teaches at studios throughout Utah and various other studios around the country. She has also done choreography all over the country and has worked with the National Champion BYU Cougarettes, the USC Carolina Girls, as well as several High School drill teams, dance studios and dance companies. She has worked closely with Justin Giles’ SoulEscape since 2011. Krissie is also the Founder and Artistic Director of the professional dance company Divinity based out of Salt Lake City. Her greatest accomplishment to date is being a mother to her two children, Taylor and Brooks.
